Club Activities

The Club organises a busy program of activities including walking, cycling and kayaking trips of varying length and intensity - see the Calendar of Events. Activities are primarily for Club Members so details are not provided in the calendar. Once you become a Member all details are made available via the monthly Circular and on the Members Area of the website.

The Club holds monthly meetings to which everyone is very welcome. Meeting dates are listed in the Calendar of Events and are held at 7:30 pm at the Philip Smith Centre, Glebe. The meetings include a talk or presentation. Look out for the "welcomer" whose job is to welcome new and potential members.

In addition to running the outdoor activities and social meetings there is also a lot of work undertaken in the background to ensure everything runs smoothly. There are more than 50 Members who volunteer to help with tasks such as:

  • planning activities
  • training new members
  • folding circulars
  • hut and track working bees
  • liaising with government bodies and other community groups
