Becoming a Member
- You need to be 18 years of age or older to join the Club.
- Complete a Membership Application (preferably online Join) and pay the fees.
- Alternatively, print this Membership Application and follow the instructions.
- Subscription renewals are due 1 July annually.

- When your application is accepted the New Members Officer will provide you with information and a welcome pack.
- To start, you are a Prospective Member for up to 12 months.
- After completing three qualifying trips and an Essential Skills Day you will gain full membership of the Club.
- The Essential Skills Day is an opportunity to learn about the Club. It includes Club history and protocols, basic instruction in bushcraft, what to pack, map reading and use of a compass, and how to navigate the Club website. It is also a great way to meet new and existing members.
- Members from other Australian bushwalking clubs may apply for exemption from the prospective stage of membership by contacting the New Members Officer.
Now your adventure with the Club begins …
- Find a trip to suit your level of fitness.
- Prospective Members must phone the Coordinator the day before the trip.
- Arrive at the meeting place at least 10 minutes before the start time.
- Be equipped for all possible conditions.
- Car pooling is an option on most trips. The cost is shared by passengers with the recommended maximum of 15c per passenger per kilometre. As a courtesy take a change of boots and clothes.
- Join the Club Facebook page where member activities are showcased with inspiring images. It is a closed group page but is not exclusive to members.
